The Creative force steering the ship at Food, Mood & Soul

Shikha Shrivastava

Greetings!

I’m Shikha Shrivastava, the creative mind behind Food, Mood & Soul and a dedicated entrepreneur in Real Estate and Consulting Services. Passionate about crafting content that inspires and explores spiritual dimensions, I strive to guide others on a journey toward mindfulness and fulfillment. My foundation in Psychology, built over four years of focused study, paved the way for a decade of success in the corporate world in Business Management before I embarked on a transformative move to Europe in 2016. Since then, Germany has become the stage for my personal and professional growth, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey.

Starting a new life in a foreign country brought its share of challenges—navigating an unfamiliar language and returning to student life was both daunting and invigorating. Immersing myself in the rhythm of a dynamic city and connecting with people from diverse cultures led to a profound rediscovery of spirituality, ancient wisdom, and new traditions. These experiences reshaped my worldview in deeply meaningful ways.

The journey was far from easy, and its lessons were often demanding—but they unfolded into a rich and rewarding tapestry. Today, I can’t imagine a life that isn’t rooted in authenticity and purpose. Each day brings joy, inspiration, and a zest for life I hadn’t known before. Writing, a lifelong passion, has always been my way of contributing positively to society. Through my words, I hope to inspire, while my fascination with human physiology adds depth and perspective to my creative pursuits.

Beyond writing, I find immense joy in the culinary arts, exploring flavors from around the globe. When I’m not experimenting in the kitchen, you’ll likely find me immersed in nature or engrossed in a captivating book.

I’m always eager to connect, share insights, and build meaningful relationships. Feel free to reach out via my contact box—I’d love to hear from you!

Making the Leap: Switching from Job to Business in Germany

Making the Leap:  Switching from Job to Business in Germany Making the leap from a stable job to running your own business in Germany is exciting — and a little daunting. Beyond the new freedom and responsibility, there are practical, legal, and financial changes that can surprise even the most prepared founders.  A few years ago, I made the big leap — I left my full-time job and started my own business in Germany.  Since then, I’ve not only learned a lot through my own journey but have also had the privilege of supporting many individuals as they launched their own startups. One thing I always tell my clients is this: discipline is the main thing that drives success .  Yes, strategy, networking, and creativity matter — but without consistent daily effort, it’s easy to get distracted or overwhelmed. Discipline keeps you moving forward, even when things are uncertain or slow. In my experience, the entrepreneurs who stick to their routines, prioritize their goals, a...

From Paying Rent to Building Roots: The Erlangen Family Dream

Why Families in Erlangen Should Buy a Home Instead of Paying High  As I closed the deal on another house, I came across a fascinating client journey. This client had been living in Erlangen for the past 13 years and finally decided it was time to buy a property. His experiences, struggles, and learnings inspired me to share why owning a piece of the place you’ve called home for years can be so meaningful. PC: Kathi If you’ve ever spent a sunny afternoon strolling through the Schlossgarten , enjoyed ice cream by the Regnitz , or watched your kids play under the chestnut trees of Bürgermeistersteg , you know — Erlangen isn’t just a city, it’s a feeling. It’s that special mix of Bavarian charm and modern innovation that makes people fall in love and want to stay forever . But for many families, rising rents make that dream harder to hold onto. So instead of pouring more money into rent, maybe it’s time to think differently — to build something lasting right here in the city you alr...

Why the Universe Favors Some People

The Secret Reason the Universe Favors Some People Over Others In recent property sales I’ve observed, it’s fascinating how some people, even with limited financial resources, manage to secure a house, while others who seem more eligible or financially prepared fall short. The difference isn’t always about money—it’s about mindset, confidence, and how you present yourself. Those who succeed often approach the process with clarity, preparation, and a quiet certainty that they belong in the deal. Timing, communication, and personal connection with the seller or agent also play a huge role. The real lesson? In competitive markets, belief in yourself and thoughtful action can sometimes outweigh raw financial strength. We’re venturing into the intersection of psychology, personal belief, and the “universe” or life outcomes . Let’s break this down carefully. 1. Self-Belief and Deservingness Often, people don’t get what they want because, deep down, they don’t believe they deserve it . This is...
