Snack Recipe: Potato Cheese Shots

      Potato Cheese Shots


Who doesn't love potatoes! Especially in form of a crispy evening snacks, which are quick to make. These potato & cheese shots is one of them. It's one of  my favorite recipe  because we get almost all the ingredients at home easily, also they are very quick to make.

  • Cuisine: Indian
  • Course: Appetizer
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dry Mango powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder powder
  • 1 tablespoon Chilli flakes
  • 50 grams Grated cheese 
  • Handful Coriander , chopped
  • Cornflour or All purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoon Breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste

For Yogurt Dip

  • 100 gram Yogurt
  • 4 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 2-3 Mint Leaves
  • 1 Pinch chilli power
  • Salt to taste

                                                           Method

  • Boil potatoes and  let it cool in fridge before making Shots.
  • Don’t mash them with hands, grate them for fine consistency.
  • Add cumin seed, chilli powder, garlic powder, garam masala, dry mango powder & mix them well with potatoes.
  • Now  make round ball of this mixture while filling a pinch of cheese into each round ball .
  • Take bread crumbs, chilli flakes in a separate plate & mix them well and leave aside.
  • Take cornflour, little salt in a bowl & start dipping the potato balls into this mixture.
  • Now coat them well into breadcrumbs & chilli flakes mix, kept in  the plate.
  • Deep fry them at medium heat, until brown & crispy.
  • Please note fry only few potato balls at a time.
  • To make yogurt dip, mix all the ingredients (mentioned list for yogurt dip) in a bowl & serve it with Potato & Cheese shots.
